A big thank you to everyone who came along to support our St George’s Beer Festival on Saturday (22nd April).
‘It was good to see so many regulars and new faces at the brewery, enjoying a relaxed afternoon of beer, food and music, all in the name of celebrating St George. Hurrah for St George!’ said MD Roland.
Blues band Riff Raff kept everyone entertained, playing a mix of popular blues, rock and R&B tunes to an appreciative audience of festival goers.
Saint Francis Hospice was our charity of the day. Volunteer Jackie Davis from Romford was kept busy by the festival’s younger visitors who were enjoying the charity’s fundraising lucky dip game and soft toy stall.
There was plenty of choice on the draft beer menu including our Coronation beers, Charlie’s In Charge and Monarch Mild, which made their debut at the festival. According to our apprentice brewer Joe, they were royally received and among the best sellers of the afternoon along with Cheers Big Ears and George & the Dragon.
On the food menu Dean’s homemade steak pie was, as always, a most popular choice. Chips too!
