Q: How can our beers be gluten free when they contain barley and wheat?
A. All the gluten is removed by the addition of an enzyme into the fermenter. There may be an issue, however, if someone is allergic to the cereal rather than just the gluten.
Q: Are our beers suitable for coeliacs?
A: Yes. All our beers are tested regularly and the gluten tests show the minimum they can show, less than 10 parts per million (ppm). The range for gluten testing is 10 – 270 ppm.
Q: Why use barley and wheat at all when there are other gluten free cereals that could be used?
A: Taste. Barley and wheat provide the best flavour and body to a beer. We want everyone to be able to enjoy a great-tasting beer.
