Ale Unites Ladies Across Globe

The first International Women’s Collaboration Brew Day on Saturday 8th March, is being organised by our Head Brewer,  Sophie de Ronde and Denise Ratfield of Stone Brewery in America.  It is listed as an International Women’s Day event.  The aim of the day is to raise the profile of all professional brewsters, female brewers, across the world.

“It’s all about celebrating the history of women in the industry and giving us modern day brewsters a bit more exposure,” said Sophie.

We’re making a day of it here at Brentwood and hope you can join us from 1030am to 3.3opm.  Brewsters and beer enthusiasts will be joining in with the project, led by Sophie, to brew Unite Pale Ale, following the same recipe parameters as all brewsters  across the globe, making this special brew on 8th March.  Brentwood Brewing Company is donating profits from the sale of Unite Pale Ale to two charities, Brentwood-based SNAP, Special Needs Children and Parents and The Pink Boots Society, a worldwide brewsters’ charity based in the US which helps to further women’s careers in the brewing sector.

Chelmsford Ladies Morris Dancers are hoping to put in an appearance at the Brewery on the day and Author of Beer o’clock and School of Booze, Jane Peyton, will be joining us.  Hope you can make it too.
